Catching Up on Pre-empted Programs — The “Last Train from Hiroshima’’ broadcast pre-empted some important regular night rebroadcast programs, but we are catching up and broadcasting them. Note on Wednesday night 2 weeks of Chris Hedges and Richard Wolff scheduled this week. We’ll be doubling down on Ralph Nader next week.

Fund drive - I don’t have station wide figures. “Something’s Happening!” Is having some good nights and some low nights. Alan Watts Sundays does well - I am considering changing “Something’s Happening!” To 24 hours a week of Alan Watts. (ha ha).

The New Authoritarians and the Covid-19 pandemics role in transforming civilization
Dr. Naomi Wolf is the CEO of the Daily Clout, a nonprofit that enables people to see, share and affect live legislative bills which otherwise would be largely non-transparent and passed in behind closed doors. She is perhaps best known as a feminist leader, journalist and author writing about women’s rights, abortion, the Occupy Movement, the emerging totalitarianism in the US and more recently the Covid pandemic and creeping institutional tyranny. Her articles have appeared in The Nation, the Guardian and Huffington Post. Naomi recently released her eleventh book “The Bodies of Others: The New Authoritarians, Covid-19 and the War Against the Human” which uveils the forces of Big Tech, Big Pharma and an oligarchic elite to use the Covid-19 pandemic as an opportunity to revision our civilization against the will and freedoms of the people. Naomi graduated from Yale University as a Rhodes Scholar to attend Oxford University where she later received her doctorate in English Language and Literature. In the past she has taught at Barnard College, Stoney Brook and George Washington University. She hosts a weekly program Daily Clout, which can be heard every Saturday at 1 pm on the Progressive Radio Network. Her website is DailyClout.io

WEDNESDAY NIGHT, AUGUST 17

12-1 Dave Emory, ''For the Record #1250: The Ukraine War Meets ‘The Oswald Institute of Virology” Part 3

POSTED BY DAVE EMORY ⋅ JUNE 24, 2022 ⋅ POST A COMMENT
This is the third program in a short series updating not only our inquiry into the Covid “op” but the overlapping inquiry into the Metabiota/Pentagon biological research/warfare program in Ukraine.
In our “Bio-Psy-Op Apocalypse Now” programs, we noted Gilead Sciences’ development of the Tamiflu anti-viral developed for use in the event of a human adaptation of H5N1 avian flu.
Previously the chairman of Gilead’s board of directors, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld had the Pentagon stockpile Tamiflu, while retaining generous amounts of Gilead stock–Rumsfeld profited handsomely thereby.
We have also discussed the gain-of-function research done on H5N1 to make it more infective in numerous programs.
This program explores the Ukraine programs and the allegation that weaponized H5N1 was being developed in that country.
Our research into Metabiota and the Ukraine biological laboratories is discussed in–among other programs–FTR#1239.
Research into the allegation of “digitized” migratory birds to be used as weapons is highlighted in FTR#1243.
In this and succeeding programs, we will analyze a very important article presenting depth on a number of overlapping considerations about biological warfare, the Covid “op” and the Ukraine war.
Recapping, underscoring and detailing an important milieu involved for decades with biological warfare advocacy, gain-of-function advocacy and manipulation of H5N1 avian flu, and researching the rare human outbreaks of the disease:
Two figures at opposite temporal ends of this array are Anthony Fauci and Frank Macfarlane Burnet. Fauci has channeled financing to gain-of-function manipulations performed by Ron Fouchier and Yoshihiro Kawaoka. Kawoka and Fouchier, in turn, are networked with Jan De Jong and Robert G. Webster.
Webster and Kennedy Shortridge are both colleagues/proteges of Macfarlane Burnet.
The decades long network of research projects and curious outbreaks of H5N1 among both birds and humans is detailed below:Key Points of Analysis and Discussion Include:…

2-2:30 The Chris Hedges Report #1,
(Aug. 3)
The Chris Hedges Report Podcast: Combat Veteran and retired Army Colonel Andrew Bacevich and Chris Hedges Dissect the Mythology of War
Andrew Bacevich, a retired Army Colonel who fought in Vietnam, and Danny Sjursen, a retired Army Major who did tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, have just published Paths of Dissent: Soldiers Speak Out Against America’s Misguided Wars. Bacevich and Sjursen, West Point graduates, like many writers in the book, come out of the military culture. They began as true believers, embracing the myths of American goodness and virtue and the military honor code pounded into them as young cadets at the military academy. The reality of combat, as it has for generations, exposed the lies told by the generals and politicians. We are not a good and virtuous nation. God does no bless us above other nations. Victory is not assured. War is not noble and uplifting. The clash between the reality of combat, and the mythical version of combat consumed by the public, one that propels young men and women into war, creates not only dissonance and moral injury, but an existential crisis combat veterans, at least those who are self-reflective, must cope with for the rest of their lives.

2:30-3 The Chris Hedges Report #2
AUG 9 • 33M
The Chris Hedges Report Podcast: John Kiriakou, who was the CIA’s Chief of Counterterrorism Operations in Pakistan, and Chris Hedges discuss why the CIA needs to be abolished.

The CIA, from its inception, carried out assassinations, coups, torture, and illegal spying and abuse, including of US citizens, many of which were exposed in 1975 by the Church Committee in the Senate and the Pike Committee in the House. Congress attempted to enact laws to curb the widespread criminal activity by the CIA. Senate and House intelligence oversight committees were created and after the Iran-Contra scandal a statutory Inspector General at the CIA was appointed. But this oversight has largely collapsed following the attacks of 9/11 and the so-call war on terror. The activities of the CIA have once again reverted to the shadows. The CIA, at the same time, has transformed itself into a paramilitary organization, with its own armed units and drone program. The US allocates a secret black budget of about $ 50 billion a year to hide multiple types of clandestine projects carried out by the National Security Agency, the CIA and other intelligence agencies, usually beyond the scrutiny of Congress. John Kiriakou worked for the CIA from 1990 to 2004, first as an analyst, and later as a counterterrorism operations officer overseas in Bahrain, Athens, and Pakistan, where he was the CIA’s Chief of Counterterrorist Operations. He led a series of military raids on Al Qaeda safe houses in Pakistan capturing dozens of suspects, including the 2002 raid that captured Abu Zubaydah, then thought to be the third ranking member of Al Qaeda. He was also the first CIA officer to publicly confirm that the CIA waterboarded prisoners, and that such an action was torture. He also confirmed that torture was an official U.S. government policy, rather than wrongdoing by a few rogue agents. He became the sixth whistleblower indicted under the Espionage Act by the Obama administration and was sent to prison for two-and-a-half years. Joining me to the discuss the CIA, how it has evolved, how it sees its mission, what it does, how it works, and the effects of its clandestine operations around the globe is John Kiriakou.
