BEHIND THE SCENES
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
February 2021 marks the 44th birthday of "Something's Happening!'' The program began 3 days before the birth of our General Manager Anyel. So he missed 3 entire nights!!
44 years adds up to about 20,800 hours of dynamite radio. There are some listeners who have listened to most of those hours and still haven't made a donation to the station!


The current fund drive is expected to continue through the first week in March. But I'm happy to report that Pacifica Foundation has received a PP2 forgivable loan (paycheck protection) of $1.2 million from the government which might be a forgivable if we follow the rules of use. But we have also lost two more staff members: Kevin our Program Director and Christine who has been bringing in about 1 1/2 million dollars a year with her fund drive presentations, which was about 20 times her salary. This raises suspicions about some board members who want to fire everyone and take over control of all station operations with 'volunteers.' (they are all totally bereft of any radio experience). One local board member has suggested organizing a 'militia' to march into all 5 stations and 'kick the mothers out.' She is not supported by a majority, but there is the problem of station income being insufficient, so we are pressing for a $700,000 fund drive total. Anyel, our very highly supported (by the staff) General Manager is also hoping for 5000 new members. This problem is reminiscent of the time in the early 1980's when we actually shut down the station for a couple of weeks due to financial problems. Enough people chipped in during our absence from the air that we were able to reopen. 'Railway to Freedom: Harriet Tubman'
One of a collection of Black created, produced, and acted radio programs which were broadcast from 1948-1950 on WMAQ in Chicago, created by Richard Durham who sought to present non-stereotype Black figures from U.S. History. He worked for no pay. This dramatic program celebrated the lives of Black People from the 1700's through the 1940's, known and unknown, who were revolutionaries, politicians, poets, scientists, musicians, athletes and explorers. It was intensively attacked by white supremacy groups, including the White Knights of Columbus. We will play the Harriet Tubman show who is again set (with a new President) to grace the $20 bill to replace Andrew Jackson. Reasons to Question the Covid-19 Vaccine Narrative


At his moment, hundreds of millions of people worldwide eagerly await the chance to be vaccinated against the SARS-2 virus. They have been given the assurance, through an endless barrage of media reports and commentaries, that these vaccines are safe and will prevent serious infection. We are told they are 95 percent effective, so how can we do much better than that?


However, after examining the documentation that has been made available so far, there are very clear and legitimate challenges to this massive global propaganda campaign. Moreover, now that aggressive efforts are underway by governments and national health ministries for rapid vaccine deployment, we are beginning to receive a steady flow of reports about serious life-threatening injuries and deaths among people already receiving the first of two shots.


The state of California’s head epidemiologist has called for halting the distribution of a specific lot number of Moderna’s vaccine after a series of concerning allergic reactions started occurring in clusters at various inoculation sites. Deaths in Norway after vaccination have risen to 33. Norway is now warning against vaccinating older patients with pre-existing illnesses. Last week a probe by the Paul Ehrlich Institute was launched after 10 elderly Germans died within 4 days of vaccination. Germany is also reporting many other severe side effects including anaphylaxis.

A noteworthy development in the Covid-19 “op” concerns the selection of experts to oversee The Lancet’s investigation of the origins of the SARS CoV‑2.
In FTR #1156, we looked at the involvement of known U.S. intelligence cut-outs–notably USAID–and their funding of programs ostensibly aimed at preventing epidemics. Those programs involved the “Gain-of-Function” mutation of bat-borne coronaviruses, creating novel “chimeric” viruses that never existed before.
The ostensible purpose was to “prevent” future epidemics. We wondered in FTR #1156 if those ostensible epidemic “prevention” programs may have masked epidemic propagation programs, rather like Unit 731.
Peter Daszak of the EcoHealth Alliance was selected to lead the project.
His perspective would, on the surface, appear to be less than objective, in as much as he championed the very type of GOF experiments that are at the center of this inquiry.
Of interest, as well, is the selection of Jeffrey Sachs, an economist, member of the [Bernie] Sanders Institute, economic adviser to Bernie Sanders, economic adviser to AOC and, most importantly, head of the [partly] government financed Harvard Institute of International Development which (as advisers to Boris Yeltsin) drove the Russian economy back to the Stone Age.
Sachs has no medical or scientific credentials.
A consummately important article about Daszak and the EcoHealth Alliance provides troubling insights into the uneven professional track record of Daszak and the profound involvement of the organization he heads with the Pentagon and other U.S. national security establishment institutions.
EcoHealth Alliance looks disturbingly like an organization that fronts for elements and individuals involved with biological warfare research.

Recorded at Stanford, CA and Raleigh, NC on April 14, 1967
Representative John Lewis of Georgia, an icon of the struggle for civil rights, social justice and equality died in mid-July. He was called the “conscience of the Congress.” His passing evoked memories of the March on Washington and the bridge in Selma. And attention on the struggles today: the new Jim Crow, the Black Lives Matter movement and the widespread demonstrations protesting the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. In the tradition of his mentor Dr. King, John Lewis was dedicated to civil disobedience and non-violence. His words inspire us to engagement and peaceful resistance. When he gave the commencement address to Boston University graduates in 2018, he said, “My philosophy is simple. When you see something that is not fair, not right, not just, then you have a moral obligation to say something; to do something, stand up, speak out.”


Reverend William Barber chairs NAACP’s Legislative Political Action Committee. He co-chairs the Poor People’s Campaign and serves as pastor at Greenleaf Christian Church in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He is the author of Revive Us Again: Vision and Action in Moral Organizing.


Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Nobel Peace Prize winner, is one of the 20th century’s most enduring figures. He advocated and practiced civil disobedience and non-violence. He said, “Christ gave us the goals and Mahatma Gandhi the tactics.” He rose to national prominence during the epic Montgomery bus boycott and then went on to spearhead a movement which ended juridical apartheid in the U.S. He was assassinated on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis on April 4, 1968.

A noteworthy development in the Covid-19 “op” concerns the selection of experts to oversee The Lancet’s investigation of the origins of the SARS CoV‑2.
In FTR #1156, we looked at the involvement of known U.S. intelligence cut-outs–notably USAID–and their funding of programs ostensibly aimed at preventing epidemics. Those programs involved the “Gain-of-Function” mutation of bat-borne coronaviruses, creating novel “chimeric” viruses that never existed before.
The ostensible purpose was to “prevent” future epidemics. We wondered in FTR #1156 if those ostensible epidemic “prevention” programs may have masked epidemic propagation programs, rather like Unit 731.
Peter Daszak of the EcoHealth Alliance was selected to lead the project.
His perspective would, on the surface, appear to be less than objective, in as much as he championed the very type of GOF experiments that are at the center of this inquiry.
Of interest, as well, is the selection of Jeffrey Sachs, an economist, member of the [Bernie] Sanders Institute, economic adviser to Bernie Sanders, economic adviser to AOC and, most importantly, head of the [partly] government financed Harvard Institute of International Development which (as advisers to Boris Yeltsin) drove the Russian economy back to the Stone Age.
Sachs has no medical or scientific credentials.
A consummately important article about Daszak and the EcoHealth Alliance provides troubling insights into the uneven professional track record of Daszak and the profound involvement of the organization he heads with the Pentagon and other U.S. national security establishment institutions.
EcoHealth Alliance looks disturbingly like an organization that fronts for elements and individuals involved with biological warfare research.

We must all do our best to counter the disinformation contained in the QAnon conspiracy theory. I’m sure that by now you’re familiar with this viral social media phenomenon, which — along with the president’s coronavirus diagnosis and so many other things — threatens to upend the upcoming election. QAnon has escaped its birthplace in the far (alt) right of the political spectrum and is now rapidly spreading throughout America and Western Europe. More than 20 lawmakers on the ballot nationwide have expressed various levels of belief. Most surprisingly, it is gaining huge traction in what you would have thought were unlikely constituencies — spiritual seekers and people in the wellness communities.

QAnon’s lurid, preposterous claims about horrific crimes against children being committed by leaders of the Democratic Party, Hollywood liberals, and billionaire philanthropists seem to trigger something deep in the human psyche that many people are unprepared to handle. It is possible that you already have family and friends who have succumbed to it.

With ever more of Donald Trump’s supporters showing up at his political rallies holding signs proclaiming this conspiracy, the QAnon phenomenon has recently become the subject of concerned articles in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the UK Guardian, the Atlantic, and the New Yorker magazines.

On November 6, 1979, in Greensboro, North Carolina, a “death squad” established by the American Nazi Party and the Ku Klux Klan of North Carolina gunned down six textile plant union organizers on a public street. The organizers were in the process of conducting a racially-integrated effort to organize a labor union in a local plant. At the time of the killings, they were leading an “Anti-Klan Rally” to “push back” against the Klan and Nazi effort to intimidate workers from joining the union.

In Part ONE: Bill Pepper became James Earl Ray’s lawyer when he found out that Ray was not the murderer. His friendship with King and his family goes back to 1967. Pepper had gone to Vietnam and taken photos of children burned by napalm. King asked to meet with him and they worked closely together during the anti-Vietnam war phase of King’s life.




After the failure of all his efforts to get James Earl Ray a new trial, William Pepper recommended one more option to the King family. In this Part TWO Pepper explains why he recommended a wrongful death suit against Loyd Jowers and other known and unknown conspirators. For the first time under oath in any assignation case there is the complete picture of how Martin Luther King was killed. It took the jury 59 minutes to come back with a verdict against Loyd Jowers and an award for the family.




There is a summary of the outcome – as well as 4,000 pages of transcripts posted on the King Center web site. Here is what Coretta Scott King said about the case: “After four weeks of testimony and over 70 witnesses in a civil trial in Memphis, Tennessee, twelve jurors reached a unanimous verdict on December 8, 1999 after about an hour of deliberations that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated as a result of a conspiracy. In a press statement held the following day in Atlanta, Mrs. Coretta Scott King welcomed the verdict, saying , “There is abundant evidence of a major high level conspiracy in the assassination of my husband, Martin Luther King, Jr. And the civil court’s unanimous verdict has validated our belief. I wholeheartedly applaud the verdict of the jury and I feel that justice has been well served in their deliberations. This verdict is not only a great victory for my family, but also a great victory for America. It is a great victory for truth itself. … The jury was clearly convinced by the extensive evidence that was presented during the trial that, in addition to Mr. Jowers, the conspiracy of the Mafia, local, state and federal government agencies, were deeply involved in the assassination of my husband.




The jury also affirmed overwhelming evidence that identified someone else, not James Earl Ray, as the shooter, and that Mr. Ray was set up to take the blame. I want to make it clear that my family has no interest in retribution. Instead, our sole concern has been that the full truth of the assassination has been revealed and adjudicated in a court of law… My husband once said, “The moral arc of the universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” To-day, almost 32 years after my husband and the father of my four children was assassinated, I feel that the jury’s verdict clearly affirms this principle. With this faith, we can begin the 21st century and the new millennium with a new spirit of hope and healing.”

In past programs, we have briefly noted that military and [ostensibly] civilian programs officially involved with “epidemic prevention” might conceal clandestine biological warfare applications designed to create epidemics.

This program further develops that inquiry.




The official distinction between “offensive” and “defensive” biological warfare research is academic.

In that context, one should note that the official title of Unit 731, the notorious Japanese biological warfare unit was “the Epidemic Prevention and Water Purification Department of the Kwantung Army.”

Noteworthy in that general context is the observation by Jonathan King (professor of molecular biology at MIT), that Pentagon research into the application of genetic engineering to biological warfare could be masked as vaccine research, which sounds “defensive.”




In FTR #1130, we noted the role of four-star general Gustave Perna in Trump’s “Operation Warp Speed,” instituted by General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.




Whether the program serves as cover for military research seems a reasonable question to ask, under the circumstances.




In our last program, (ie 1155) we weighed New York Times columnist Charles Blow’s thoughts about a white-supremacist minority grouped around the GOP. Blow saw those interests working to preserve their privilege in a number of respects.




This program asks, in effect, if the global equivalent of Blow’s malefactors might be doing something similar with the Covid-19 “op” and related, overlapping clandestine operations. How might the interests we saw in FTR #1128

Selected excerpts of a Whitney Webb article provide insight into the possible offensive nature of programs ostensibly aimed at preventing epidemics. Like Unit 731 (see above), “Epidemic Prevention” may well be masking “epidemic creation.”




In connection with that possibility, the DARPA focus on gene-driving technology is frightening and fraught with devastating possibilities...

The success and failure rates of civil resistance movements might seem like something studied at the U.S. Army War College. But social scientists and political activists always want to know why some tactics work, and some don’t. Boycotts, street protests, armed conflict, nonviolent and non-cooperation tactics, we’re seeing myriad forms of resistance as governments place greater restraints on freedom everywhere. But to what effect? Today we can measure our clicks, our quirks, and consumer trends at all levels of the economy. So why not look at resistance movements’ metrics of success? Whether Velvet Revolutions in Czechoslovakia and Armenia, the overthrow of the Shah of Iran, or the recent failed attempt to overthrow U.S. Presidential election results, the timing, the tactics, the strategy, and the nature of the political opponent are all key factors.

Reeve Whitson: 1.-Was alleged by Iranian immigrant Shahrokh Hatami to have phoned him with knowledge of the killings of Sharon Tate, et al, before the crime was reported by the news media and before law enforcement even arrived at the crime scene! 2.-Was alleged by the LAPD's top investigator and Sharon Tate's father (a Colonel in Army intelligence) to have been deeply involved with the Manson investigation. 3.-Was alleged by attorney Neil Cummings to have maintained some kind of surveillance on the Cielo Drive home, as part of some sort of work he was doing for the intelligence community. 4.-Was confirmed as an officer of the CIA by his own ex-wife. 5.-Was known to have felt that he was-in the end-betrayed by the faction of the CIA for which he worked. 6.-Was able to pull strings in a pivotal way: ". . . .A British film director who himself claimed to have ties to MI5, [John] Irvin said that Whitson got meetings 'with minutes' at "the highest levels of the defense industry-it was amazing.' " 7.-Was apparently a close associate of retired General Curtis LeMay, George Wallace's Vice-Presidential candidate in 1968. 8.-Was associated with LeMay when the latter became vice-president of a missile parts manufacturer, which was headed by MihaiPatrichi.Patrichiwas a former Romanian army general and a member of the Romanian Iron Guard, whom we have spoken about and written about in many programs and posts. The Iron Guard was part of theGehlen"Org," the ABN and the GOP. 9.-Was associated, through his intelligence work with OttoSkorzenyand his wife Ilse. 10.-Was the special adviser to the chairman of the board of the Thyssen firm, also as part of his intelligence work.
