The Art of Profiteering from a Pandemic
As the number of reported Covid-19 cases increase, we are once again seeing a dramatic uptick in states’ efforts to mandate lockdowns and quarantines and to restrict transportation. Yet at the same time there is a growing number of voices within the medical and scientific communities criticizing these policies and providing evidence that the current lockdowns and flawed preventative measures are not working. In fact, they are contributing to more damage than good. There is also reliable evidence to conclude that the pandemic has been captured by special interest groups, especially the vaccine makers and the industries that profit off them. Consequently the fear of a deadly virus has been both politicized and weaponized to subvert populations into passive submission to authorities who control the media’s narrative.
Yet these regressive policies are being challenged aggressively. Many of the tens of thousands of medical critics come from the world’s most respected institutions such as Harvard, Oxford, Stanford and Yale medical schools. Over 47,000 epidemiologists and public health experts and 639,000 concerned citizens have now signed the Great Barrington Declaration to publicize the warning that the policies now being enacted are having a far more detrimental effect on public health and the economy than the virus itself.
None of these experts are suggesting that Covid-19 is not real nor are they questioning its virulence. Nor are they suggesting we should be cavalier and pretend the virus poses only minor risks. What is being challenged on the other hand are the political decisions based upon poor scientific evidence and the commercial conflicts of interest that guide these decisions….

Dr. Fairlie is an independent consultant on radioactivity in the environment living in London UK. He has studied radiation and radioactivity at least since the Chernobyl accident in 1986. He has a degree in radiation biology from Bart’s Hospital in London and his doctoral studies at Imperial College in London and (briefly) Princeton University in the US concerned the radiological hazards of nuclear fuel reprocessing. He formerly worked as a civil servant on the regulation of radiation risks from nuclear power stations. From 2000 to 2004, he was head of the Secretariat of the UK Government’s CERRIE Committee on internal radiation risks. Since retiring from Government service, he has been a consultant on radiation matters to the European Parliament, local and regional governments, environmental NGOs, and private individuals. His areas of interest are the radiation doses and risks arising from the radioactive releases at nuclear facilities.

The program begins with detailed analysis of an article from March of 2020. Noting anti-Asian and anti-Chinese stigmatization in coverage of the early stages of the Covid-19 outbreak, the article notes propagandized, inaccurate reporting by US corporate media.
In addition to citing the Wuhan Coronavirus outbreak as demonstrating the weakness of Chinese governance–the administration of president Xi and the communist party in particular–the MSM have engaged in outright misrepresentation.

Virtually all of corporate media’s false narrative of the coronavirus outbreak hinge upon the story of Li [Wenliang] being a ‘martyr’ and ‘whistleblower’ who allegedly ‘discovered’ the coronavirus, but was silenced and ‘arrested’ by government officials before he could alert the public. . . .”
In fact, Dr. Li:
1.–Was an ophthalmologist, not a virologist nor an epidemiologist.
2.–Did not see himself as a “whistleblower.”
3.–Misidentified the virus in question as the SARS virus–a similar but different coronavirus.
4.–Achieved prominence after a private WeChat group that he did not want shared (it subsequently was shared).
5.–Was not arrested. ” . . . . Neither were Li and his colleagues ‘arrested,’ as several sensationalist reports falsely claimed without issuing retractions . . .”
6.–” . . . . was taken in by police and questioned after telling former classmates about a cluster of pneumonia cases. An earlier version of this article mistakenly said Dr. Li Wenliang had been arrested. Li was told by the police on January 3 not to spread unverifiable rumors—after a screenshot was leaked on December 31—because false information could set off unnecessary panic during the Spring Festival (one of the busiest and most important holidays of the year), as at the time there had been no fatalities and no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission. . . .”
Dr. Zhang Jixian was the real “discoverer“ of what is now called SARS Cov‑2–the virus that causes the disease. ” . . . . the Red Scare coverage above completely erased the fact that the ‘whistle’ had already been blown by Dr. Zhang Jixian, the first doctor to report the novel coronavirus to health authorities on December 27, which resulted in an announcement by the Chinese Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Wuhan Health Commission (WHC) earlier on December 30, the same day Li texted his seven colleagues . . . . Zhang wasn’t suppressed by the government, but rather commended for her efforts. . . .”
Next, we highlight Washington Post writer Josh Rogin, a high-profile exponent of the “Chinese lab did it” meme about Covid-19. Rogin’s source–misidentified as a “scientist,” is a long-time anti-Chinese government activist financed by the National Endowment For Democracy, a US intelligence cut-out and regime-change vehicle co-founded by CIA director William Casey in the early 1980’s.
The New Cold War is manifesting some features of McCarthyism. Relying on innuendo by an “ex” CIA officer, Fox News host Tucker Carlson intimated that leading Democratic politicians might be agents of the Chinese intelligence service.

Fleshing out understanding of Covid-19, this program looks at the interrelationship between elements of the military, big pharma, therapeutic measures selected for early deployment against the pandemic and the full-court press underway against China.
Specifically, we wonder if the DARPA research into bat-borne coronaviruses and the apparent dissemination of Covid-19 as part of the covert operations constellation being directed against China may have driven development of those therapeutic measures.
In March of this year, the Pentagon secured remdesivir for treating U.S. service personnel. In FTR #1138, we looked at remdesivir being tested on rhesus macaques in March of 2019. In August of last year, the CDC closed down the United States Army Medical Institute of Infectious Diseases, in part because of deficient handling of waste produced by “non-human” primates infected with an unnamed “select agent.”
Was that “select agent” Ebola? A bat-borne coronavirus? SARS CoV‑2?
Remdesivir was definitely being tested on MERS at a facility in Montana that was a base for Willy Burgdorfer’s biological warfare research resulting the development of Lyme Disease.
The MERS virus was also a focal point for testing of the messenger RNA vaccines being developed (largely under DARPA auspices). That testing appears to have been a factor in fast-tracking the Moderna vaccine for SARS CoV‑2 (see below).
Next, we review elements of a thought-provoking and disturbing article about DARPA research into bat-borne diseases, including some caused by coronaviruses.
As readers digest this information, remember that DARPA can bring to bear the twined technologies artificial intelligence and super-computers. It has the state of the art with respect to both. Combined with gene editing, that technological pairing offers the possibility of truly horrifying synthetic viruses.

For those who may have watched the latest NFL games, they would have noticed a preponderance of advertisements hearkening the wonderful promises that the large variety of 5G technologies will bring into our lives. The ads tout the interconnectivity of all things and the technological miracle underway. For the casual viewer, it would seem as if life can never be the same without it. It is the new, essential and life-enhancing technology…
However, there are urgent facts solely missing from the networks’ commercials. Fiber optic technology to increase Internet speed has been with us for over a decade. Therefore, speed is not the primary issue on the table. People could have high connectivity and yet not be exposed to 5G’s high EMF levels. Nor would thousands of satellites orbiting the earth be required. No, there is a far more nefarious agenda behind 5G in order to usher in the international globalists’ Fourth Industrial Revolution. The World Economic Forum’s slide presentation, “Why is 5G Important for the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” outlines the multi-trillion dollar impact advanced connectivity will have on manufacturing, wholesale and resale, smart cities and homes, public services, transportation, real time banking, finance and insurance, agriculture and forestry, real estate, education, mining, health and medicine…
Sadly, 5G is destined to be a permanent fixture across the nation. At present, there is barely a chance to prevent it. The thousands of medical and environmental studies warning of high EMF’s dangers and the thousands of international scientists signing petitions to halt its deployment are unequivocally ignored or worse ostracized and cancelled. …
There are no fundamental differences between Biden and Trump for accelerating the 5G roll out. Both argue that the global race to establish the Internet of Everything is critical for the US to maintain its leadership in the world. Experts are warning that the FDA provided no data justifying the move and now the drug is going to be in even shorter supply for the sickest patients.

This recording, recently discovered in the piles at AR, features the great radical historian talking with students at UNM. He is asked about getting past the culture of denial of the powerful. Drawing on his vast knowledge of history he says, “It always takes time and persistence. Every movement looks like it is hopeless in the beginning. It seems people have no power. But then people took risks. The most important thing we can do is not to hold back. Resist authority. The more people speak out it encourages others to do the same. The American system is controlled but it has little openings. We have to take advantage of those openings.” He tells the students about his friend and fellow WWII vet, Kurt Vonnegut and a letter the New York Times refused to print.
A perfect companion to the Back Seat Interviews I did with him that same day as we drove from Santa Fe to this event in Albuquerque and back.

Howard Zinn, professor emeritus at Boston University, was perhaps this country’s premier radical historian. He was born in Brooklyn in 1922. His parents, poor immigrants, were constantly moving to stay, as he once told me, “one step ahead of the landlord.” After high school, he went to work in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. During World War II, he saw combat duty as an air force bombardier. After the war, he went to Columbia University on the GI Bill. He taught at Spelman, the all-black women’s college in Atlanta. He was an active figure in the civil rights movement and served on the board of SNCC, the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. He was fired by Spelman for his activism. He was among the first to oppose U.S. aggression in Indochina. His book Vietnam: The Logic of Withdrawal was an instant classic. A principled opponent of imperialism and militarism, he was an advocate of non-violent civil disobedience. He spoke and marched against the U.S. wars on Afghanistan and Iraq. His masterwork, A People’s History of the United States, continues to sell in huge numbers. Among his many books are A Power Governments Cannot Suppress and Original Zinn with David Barsamian. Just before his death, he completed his last great project, the documentary The People Speak. Always ready to lend a hand, he believed in and practiced solidarity. Witty, erudite, generous, and loved, Howard Zinn, friend and teacher, passed away on January 27, 2010. His words inspire many the world over, “We don’t have to wait for some grand utopian future. To live now, as human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.”

Continuing our inquiry into the Covid-19 pandemic, this program continues analysis of the disease as a pandemic–a biological warfare manifestation that is one part act of war, one part domestic terrorism, and a major “psy-op.”
The widely publicized interview Trump gave to Bob Woodward, in which Trump candidly assessed the lethal nature of SARS Cov‑2 has been misunderstood. Trump’s policy on the virus has been just exactly what he and the interests for which he fronts desire.
The pandemic is a portal for the realization of the goals of the Underground Reich for which Trump is a front man and enabler. These issues either have been or will be discussed at greater length.
The virus is the Wealth Concentration Virus.
It is the Wealth-Destroying Virus for areas and institutions that the Trump interests oppose.
It is the Urban Area Destruction Virus.
It is the White Supremacist Virus–hitting people of color much harder, due to health and socio-economic factors.
It is the Eugenic Virus–killing older people and people with complicating medical conditions.
It is the Education-Destroying Virus, drastically and negatively affecting public schools and colleges.
It is the Public Transit Destroying Virus.
It is the Divide and Conquer Virus–separating the old from the young and–potentially–women from men.
The pandemic is the “Bio-Psy-Op Apocalypse” Virus, ravaging the psyches of individuals and groups.
Trump kept a copy of this by his bedside for late-night reading.
The Covid-19 pandemic is driving what might be termed a right-wing ideological wet dream in a number of different respects. Here, we note that the damage done by the virus is seen as furthering a corporatist agenda, masquerading under the common rhetorical camouflage of “libertarian” philosophy…
The FDA–now headed by the Hoover Institute’s Stephen Hahn, a former cancer specialist with no experience in infectious diseases–has expanded the approved use of remdesivir. Experts are warning that the FDA provided no data justifying the move and now the drug is going to be in even shorter supply for the sickest patients.

This recording, recently discovered in the piles at AR, features the great radical historian talking with students at UNM. He is asked about getting past the culture of denial of the powerful. Drawing on his vast knowledge of history he says, “It always takes time and persistence. Every movement looks like it is hopeless in the beginning. It seems people have no power. But then people took risks. The most important thing we can do is not to hold back. Resist authority. The more people speak out it encourages others to do the same. The American system is controlled but it has little openings. We have to take advantage of those openings.” He tells the students about his friend and fellow WWII vet, Kurt Vonnegut and a letter the New York Times refused to print.
A perfect companion to the Back Seat Interviews I did with him that same day as we drove from Santa Fe to this event in Albuquerque and back.

Howard Zinn, professor emeritus at Boston University, was perhaps this country’s premier radical historian. He was born in Brooklyn in 1922. His parents, poor immigrants, were constantly moving to stay, as he once told me, “one step ahead of the landlord.” After high school, he went to work in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. During World War II, he saw combat duty as an air force bombardier. After the war, he went to Columbia University on the GI Bill. He taught at Spelman, the all-black women’s college in Atlanta. He was an active figure in the civil rights movement and served on the board of SNCC, the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. He was fired by Spelman for his activism. He was among the first to oppose U.S. aggression in Indochina. His book Vietnam: The Logic of Withdrawal was an instant classic. A principled opponent of imperialism and militarism, he was an advocate of non-violent civil disobedience. He spoke and marched against the U.S. wars on Afghanistan and Iraq. His masterwork, A People’s History of the United States, continues to sell in huge numbers. Among his many books are A Power Governments Cannot Suppress and Original Zinn with David Barsamian. Just before his death, he completed his last great project, the documentary The People Speak. Always ready to lend a hand, he believed in and practiced solidarity. Witty, erudite, generous, and loved, Howard Zinn, friend and teacher, passed away on January 27, 2010. His words inspire many the world over, “We don’t have to wait for some grand utopian future. To live now, as human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.”
