Background and Motivation for “The Role of the Public Intellectual”: Constrained by their State Boards of Regents, State Colleges & Universities of Western Culture impose requirements upon their Professors that compel them to promote beliefs that support both the objectives and ideologies of the Nation State of which they are a part of. Private Colleges of Western Culture are similarly constrained by their Private Boards of Overseers to promote beliefs that support the private financial interests of contributors who personally finance those private Institutions. In Western Culture, these beliefs include: the primacy of the economic system of State Capitalism; the ideologies of Caucasian Racial Superiority and Female Inferiority; the belief in Scientific Logical Positivism and Materialism (these beliefs are often masked as the development of a superior capacity to function intellectually in order to achieve long range goals rather than functioning emotionally to indulge short term personal satisfactions); and the indoctrination of their students in the dual doctrines of Nationalism and The Legitimization of the Resort to the Use of Military Violence to Achieve the Selfish Economic Goals The Elite of their Nation State.
Just as Political Public Office-Holders in State and Federal Governments feel “constrained” from speaking the truth that they have learned in their positions until after they have“retired from public office, College & University Professors inside State and Private Colleges & Universities oft-times feel constrained from sharing with their students their true conclusions about the academic subjects that they have spent a lifetime teaching until after they have achieved Emeritus status – at which time it is often too late to reach a student audience.
It is the goal of SANTA CRUZ COLLEGE to bring these truths to College & University students while they are still in the midst of their undergraduate and graduate school learning experience. 'A Marriage Made in Hell: Militant Atheism, Scientism, Wikipedia and Eugenics'
The many apparent discoveries and successes in science and medicine have awarded these advances with an authority that we far too often accept without question. Skepticism is a necessary and healthy faculty. However, when skepticism itself becomes a doctrine unto itself, then a large body of scientific evidence that convincingly takes authority to task is simply denied or aggressively denounced. Surrendering critical thinking and healthy skepticism to authority figures and institutions more often than not sidelines both the scientific and social need for an open and honest debate that can bring forth evidence that challenges the rule and control of a dominant authoritative view. Of course, many of the most radical scientific voices in the past who challenged authoritative paradigms were marked heretics, such as Galileo and Newton. And inevitably with the passage of time, the mavericks were proven correct. Today the pariahs of the dominant scientific order include Deepak Chopra, Rupert Sheldrake, Nobel Laureates Brian Josephson and Luc Montagnier, and numerous medical professionals who have had the courage to look outside the glass walls of the dominant medical paradigm. But worse, when skepticism surrenders its own reasoning in order to proselytize an ideology or dogma then it risks being a very real danger to society. In effect, it becomes a fundamentalist cult.
Modern Skepticism, as a movement within the sciences, has become a pseudo-science better known as Scientism. The extreme radicalized New Atheism, represented by Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett, Jerry Coyne, Steven Novella, etc is a natural outcome of Scientism's false certainty in its own absolute and rigid beliefs that have been transformed into rational objectivity

Full appreciation and analysis of the historical and political depth of Ukraine as a pivot point–a nexus vital to control of the Earth Island and, consequently, the world–can be gleaned from examination of the extent of networking between Ukrainian fascists, other Central and Eastern European fascists and Third Reich intelligence. Note the massive presence of a Ukrainian/Nazi Fifth Column in the US, linked to and directed by Third Reich intelligence.
The Ukrainian nationalist alliance with Nazi Germany had as its foundation the understanding that Hitler would invade the Soviet Union and enlist the Ukrainians as allies.
This portion of the discussion overlaps material presented in FTR #907.
Key Points of Discussion and Analysis Include:
1.–The role of former Czarist intelligence agent Boris Brasol in the White Russian/fascist underground operating in conjunction with Axis intelligence. [Note: in FTR #511–a recap of Miscellaneous Archive Show M11–we noted Boris Brasol’s role as a conduit of funds between American industrialist Henry Ford and Adolf Hitler.]
2.–The presence in this milieu of General George Van Horn Moseley, who was: an aide to Douglas MacArthur; an aide to Senator Joseph McCarthy; as discussed in AFA #10, a plotter with Third Reich intelligence to overthrow FDR.
3.–Harry Bennett’s collaboration with Axis agent Father Couglin. Bennett was in charge of Hitler financial backer Henry Ford’s “Personnel Service,” which used professional criminals to attack Ford employees and union organizers. Bennett was a key member of the Michigan parole board and got some of the most vicious criminals in that state’s correctional system released into the service of Ford, where they continued to ply their trade.
4.–The key presence in this milieu of the OUN, which had a headquarters in Rome. ” . . . . In late 1940, the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists [OUN–D.E.] moved to Rome, where a correspondent of the official Ukrainian Fascist newspaper Svoboda, of New Jersey, was the paymaster of funds supplied in the United States. All members of the organization in Germany were in the Gestapo or the Regular Army from the moment war broke out in Europe. They kept up constant contact with their American associates. . . .”
The Ukraininan fascist milieu was exposed in by Alexei Pelypenko. A Roman Catholic priest, Pelypenko turned against the Axis after the Hitler-Stalin pact. No longer having confidence in Hitler’s plans to invade the Soviet Union and enlist the support of the Ukrainian fascists as a political and military ally.

'Sexuality, Violence, and Aggression'
Dr. Faber was a professor of Psychology at UCLA in 1977 when this series of 4 talks was given at Temple Valley Beth Shalom in Van Nuys and recorded and produced by me and Helene Rosenbluth who was on the KPFK Staff at the time. Helene was the creator
and producer of the first Feminist Program, 'Holding Up More Than Half the Sky' which was put on the KPFK program schedule with some resistance from the program director on the basis that it would intimidate the men. I circulated a petition among all the
male programmers and every one (except one) signed that they wouldn't be intimidated by the inclusion of Helene's show in our regular schedule.
Dr. Faber was a powerful, unique, and extremely popular teacher at UCLA - the only faculty member who could schedule classes and lectures on Monday nights (UCLA basketball nights). He was a frequent voice on 'Carlos Hagen Presents' which was a regularly
scheduled program on KPFK. Dr. Faber was an insistent user of "profanity" as a part of his tradition of Anglo-Saxon language, uncensored by 'Norman Values' which were historically of the lower classes in the old country, the straightforward expression of
the working class. (e.g. the farmers talked of 'pigs' and the upper classes ate 'pork' which comes from the French word 'porque.' This politesse was also used in reference to sexual and extreme expression. Faber refused to ever be censored except by Carlos
Hagen to whom he gave 'license to edit' for radio broadcast. Helene and I jumped at the chance to record and interview him.
Keep in mind that the year was 1977, near the beginning of the latest
effloresce of feminism in a society where a lot of learning had to be done to evolve our social values on the status of women. (It was also one of my very first interviews)

'Sexuality, Violence, and Aggression'
Dr. Faber was a professor of Psychology at UCLA in 1977 when this series of 4 talks was given at Temple Valley Beth Shalom in Van Nuys and recorded and produced by me and Helene Rosenbluth who was on the KPFK Staff at the time. Helene was the creator
and producer of the first Feminist Program, 'Holding Up More Than Half the Sky' which was put on the KPFK program schedule with some resistance from the program director on the basis that it would intimidate the men. I circulated a petition among all the
male programmers and every one (except one) signed that they wouldn't be intimidated by the inclusion of Helene's show in our regular schedule.
Dr. Faber was a powerful, unique, and extremely popular teacher at UCLA - the only faculty member who could schedule classes and lectures on Monday nights (UCLA basketball nights). He was a frequent voice on 'Carlos Hagen Presents' which was a regularly
scheduled program on KPFK. Dr. Faber was an insistent user of "profanity" as a part of his tradition of Anglo-Saxon language, uncensored by 'Norman Values' which were historically of the lower classes in the old country, the straightforward expression of
the working class. (e.g. the farmers talked of 'pigs' and the upper classes ate 'pork' which comes from the French word 'porque.' This politesse was also used in reference to sexual and extreme expression. Faber refused to ever be censored except by Carlos
Hagen to whom he gave 'license to edit' for radio broadcast. Helene and I jumped at the chance to record and interview him.
Keep in mind that the year was 1977, near the beginning of the latest
effloresce of feminism in a society where a lot of learning had to be done to evolve our social values on the status of women. (It was also one of my very first interviews)

Dr. Ken Stoller is a board pediatrician medicine, specializing in functional and natural medicine practicing at the Functional Neurology clinic in San Francisco, and an environmental activist. He is a founder and president of the International Hyperbaric Medical Association having pioneered hyperbaric treatments for various conditions including fetal alcohol syndrome. Malidoma and Sobonfu talk about the sacred meaning of pleasure, preparing a ritual space for intimacy, the connection between sex and spirituality, the story of their arranged marriage, clearing a relationship of unspoken hurt and resentment, how the Dagara balance their inner masculine and feminine selves through gender-specific ritual.
Malidoma is a fully initiated tribesman from the Dagara People of Burkina Faso, West Africa. He has earned two Ph.D. and three Masters Degrees from the Sorbonne and Brandeis Universities. 2-3:30 Dr. Carl Faber, "Woman as Slave" #2 of 4: 'Dropping Out'
Dr. Faber was a professor of Psychology at UCLA in 1977 when this series of 4 talks was given at Temple Valley Beth Shalom in Van Nuys and recorded and produced by me and Helene Rosenbluth who was on the KPFK Staff at the time. Helene was the creator and producer of the first Feminist Program, 'Holding Up More Than Half the Sky' which was put on the KPFK program schedule with some resistance from the program director on the basis that it would intimidate the men. I circulated a petition among all the male programmers and every one (except one) signed that they wouldn't be intimidated by the inclusion of Helene's show in our regular schedule.
Dr. Faber was a powerful, unique, and extremely popular teacher at UCLA - the only faculty member who could schedule classes and lectures on Monday nights (UCLA basketball nights). He was a frequent voice on 'Carlos Hagen Presents' which was a regularly scheduled program on KPFK. Dr. Faber was an insistent user of "profanity" as a part of his tradition of Anglo-Saxon language, uncensored by 'Norman Values' which were historically of the lower classes in the old country, the straightforward expression of the working class. (e.g. the farmers talked of 'pigs' and the upper classes ate 'pork' which comes from the French word 'porque.' This politesse was also used in reference to sexual and extreme expression. Faber refused to ever be censored except by Carlos Hagen to whom he gave 'license to edit' for radio broadcast. Helene and I jumped at the chance to record and interview him.
Keep in mind that the year was 1977, near the beginning of the latest

Dr. Ken Stoller is a board pediatrician medicine, specializing in functional and natural medicine practicing at the Functional Neurology clinic in San Francisco, and an environmental activist. He is a founder and president of the International Hyperbaric Medical Association having pioneered hyperbaric treatments for various conditions including fetal alcohol syndrome. Having become frustrated with medical agency and association cover-ups and the corporate medical lobbying powers over the rapid rise in children’s developmental disabilities, Dr. Stoller and other physicians testified before Congress on the role vaccinations have played, particularly mercury, in the rise of autism and other related conditions. An important plan to totally reorganize the top rungs of Pacifica (officers and boards) will be voted on by the entire membership (i.e. subscribers). It's would be gigantic change to the top administration. I see great possible positives and great possible negatives to both sides - and of course the staff cannot make recommendations to the listeners. You will be notified of details if you are a current subscriber. If listener-sponsorship were 'fun,' all the stations would adopt it.

The latest fund drive will run from February 4 to February 29 with a $650,000 goal.
My goal is to have as much normal programming as possible - there are too many fund drives, necessitated by Pacifica's debt. All the stations are participating and we're doing our part well at KPFK. Diane and I will keep things as normal as possible but some changes might be made if the pledge phones are too silent. One predictive change is that Thom Hartmann will frequently start earlier than usual so I don't have to edit it down which is the opposite of what I love to do.

FTR #1099 – Fascism: 2019 World Tour, Part 9 (Intermarium Redux: “Will the National Socialist Revolution Begin in Ukraine?”).
In these programs, we continue discussion of the Azov milieu and its “Intermarium” outreach, in the context of Ukraine as a “pivot point” central to control of the World Island or Earth Island. The evolution of the Intermarium concept is fundamental to analysis of this phenomenon.
Ukraine’s significance as a global epicenter of burgeoning fascism extends to the region’s online, ideological and iconic manifestation. Two recent Canadian teens–Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky–who apparently killed three people in cold blood were influenced by Nazi culture and Azov Battalion manifestation in particular. ” . . . . A Steam user confirmed to The Globe and Mail that he talked to Mr. Schmegelsky regularly online. He recalled Mr. McLeod joining their chats as well. The user, whom The Globe is not identifying, provided photos sent by an account believed to be owned by Mr. Schmegelsky, showing him in military fatigues, brandishing what appears to be an airsoft rifle – which fires plastic pellets. Another photo shows a swastika armband, and yet another features Mr. Schmegelsky in a gas mask. The photos were reportedly sent in the fall of 2018, but the user said he stopped playing online games with Mr. Schmegelsky earlier this year after he continued to praise Hitler’s Germany. One account connected to the teens uses the logo of the Azov Battalion, a far-right Ukrainian militia that has been accused of harbouring sympathies to neo-Nazis. . . .”
Discussing Zbigniew Brzezinski’s doctrine of controlling Eurasia by controlling the “pivot point” of Ukraine. Fundamental to this analysis is the concept of the Earth Island or World Island as it is sometimes known.
Brzezinski, in turn, draws on the geopolitical theories of Sir Halford Mackinder, and, later contemporary Intermarium adovcates such as Alexandros Petersen.
Stretching from the Straits of Gibraltar, all across Europe, most of the Middle East, Eurasia, Russia, China and India, that stretch of land: comprises most of the world’s land mass; contains most of the world’s population and most of the world’s natural resources (including oil and natural gas.) Geopoliticians have long seen controlling that land mass as the key to world domination.
Most of the three programs highlighting the evolution and application of the Intermarium concept consist of reading and analysis of a long academic paper by Marlene Laruelle and Ellen Rivera. Of paramount significance in this discussion is the pivotal role of Ukrainian fascist organizations in the Intermarium and closely connected Promethean networks, from the post World War I period, through the time between the World Wars, through the Cold War and up to and including the Maidan coup.
Military, economic and political networking has employed the Intermarium idea, with what the paper terms the “ideological underpinnings” stemming from the evolution of the Ukrainian fascist milieu in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Some of the most important U.S. think tanks and associated military individuals and institutions embody this continuity: ” . . . . The continuity of institutional and individual trajectories from Second World War collaborationists to Cold War-era anti-communist organizations to contemporary conservative U.S. think tanks is significant for the ideological underpinnings of today’s Intermarium revival. . . .”

BEHIND THE SCENES
An important plan to totally reorganize the top rungs of Pacifica (officers and boards) will be voted on by the entire membership (i.e. subscribers). It's would be gigantic change to the top administration. I see great possible positives and great possible negatives to both sides - and of course the staff cannot make recommendations to the listeners. You will be notified of details if you are a current subscriber. If listener-sponsorship were 'fun,' all the stations would adopt it.

The latest fund drive will run from February 4 to February 29 with a $650,000 goal.
My goal is to have as much normal programming as possible - there are too many fund drives, necessitated by Pacifica's debt. All the stations are participating and we're doing our part well at KPFK. Diane and I will keep things as normal as possible but some changes might be made if the pledge phones are too silent. One predictive change is that Thom Hartmann will frequently start earlier than usual so I don't have to edit it down which is the opposite of what I love to do.

FTR #1099 – Fascism: 2019 World Tour, Part 9 (Intermarium Redux: “Will the National Socialist Revolution Begin in Ukraine?”).
In these programs, we continue discussion of the Azov milieu and its “Intermarium” outreach, in the context of Ukraine as a “pivot point” central to control of the World Island or Earth Island. The evolution of the Intermarium concept is fundamental to analysis of this phenomenon.
Ukraine’s significance as a global epicenter of burgeoning fascism extends to the region’s online, ideological and iconic manifestation. Two recent Canadian teens–Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky–who apparently killed three people in cold blood were influenced by Nazi culture and Azov Battalion manifestation in particular. ” . . . . A Steam user confirmed to The Globe and Mail that he talked to Mr. Schmegelsky regularly online. He recalled Mr. McLeod joining their chats as well. The user, whom The Globe is not identifying, provided photos sent by an account believed to be owned by Mr. Schmegelsky, showing him in military fatigues, brandishing what appears to be an airsoft rifle – which fires plastic pellets. Another photo shows a swastika armband, and yet another features Mr. Schmegelsky in a gas mask. The photos were reportedly sent in the fall of 2018, but the user said he stopped playing online games with Mr. Schmegelsky earlier this year after he continued to praise Hitler’s Germany. One account connected to the teens uses the logo of the Azov Battalion, a far-right Ukrainian militia that has been accused of harbouring sympathies to neo-Nazis. . . .”
Discussing Zbigniew Brzezinski’s doctrine of controlling Eurasia by controlling the “pivot point” of Ukraine. Fundamental to this analysis is the concept of the Earth Island or World Island as it is sometimes known.
Brzezinski, in turn, draws on the geopolitical theories of Sir Halford Mackinder, and, later contemporary Intermarium adovcates such as Alexandros Petersen.
