BEHIND THE SCENES

The ‘democratization’ of the local and national boards occurred at the end of the 1900’s as a response to an overly ‘enthusiastic’ Pacifica leadership which tried to solve problems with their own ideas. At KPFK we were directed to eliminate ‘community programs’ and concentrate on the wealth of the Westside. There were several program changes. The general manager was empowered to announce to the local board if they didn’t like the direction of the station, they could resign. At KPFA, the entire ‘disobedient staff’ was kicked out of the station (and not allowed to take their address books with them) and the programming in Berkeley was changed to “The Sounds of Texas” - repeated from KPFT in Houston. There was also the threat to move KPFA to Palo Alto. And at KPFK we advertised nationally for a new program director and received not a single application, as our changes had become public in radioland.




It was the only time in all my years that I got in trouble with the manager. My crime was playing “Democracy Now” at 5am when it was cancelled from the station entirely (referred to as our not having license to broadcast) because Amy Goodman took to ending her shows with a mention of “the banned and the fired.” I was given a daily copy of ‘Democracy Now’ by a renegade board member and I played it as part of the show from 5 to 6. When warned about “not having a license to broadcast ‘Democracy Now’ I took it upon myself to spend my program time cutting out all mention of ‘Democracy Now’ from the tape and referring to the 5-6 program as “The Amy Goodman Show.” The manager didn’t go for that, despite my informing him. that Amy had no objection. I was told to move all my ‘stuff’ into the engineering closet and prepare to leave the station. So I stopped playing Amy and stayed on a little while while the upper echelons changed the structure of board membership to more democratic.




So now we have elections for the local board, which selects the national board and some problems have developed which some are attempting to solve by wanting to bring in some expertise in the areas of promotion, budgeting, fundraising, and radio. And you, as a subscriber, have the opportunity/job to vote if you feel those areas are somewhat lacking in our operations.

‘’…This loss of a trusted public voice (or voices) is why we are now squarely in the era where a social media troll can outdraw the New York Times online by, statistically speaking, a factor of eight or so. And it is why, aided by Donald Trump’s frightening abasement of public discourse and bizarro-world assault on human reason, the QAnon conspiracy theory seems to be gathering viral momentum in the five week sprint to the election. This is reason for real concern.

And that is precisely why I reached out to my longtime friend and colleague Daniel Sheehan, one of America’s most intrepid and successful constitutional lawyers, to get his professional take on the phenomenon. Nobody can accuse Danny of either cowardice or credulity in the face of any conspiracy, no matter who or what is pushing it. In fact, he’s exposed more big time conspiracies than any other lawyer in our time. Therefore, my interview with Danny regarding the claims of QAnon conspiracy theory should be given a respectful hearing by everyone in the QAnon movement.

This week, Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense (CHD) president, and Polly Tommey, co-producer of “Vaxxed,” cover the latest COVID headlines, including evidence the COVID vaccine spike protein can travel from the injection site and accumulate in organs and tissues, news that Pfizer skipped critical testing on its COVID vaccine and a reportimplicating Dr. Anthony Fauci and other public health officials in a potential conspiracy to hide the origins of COVID.

Mary and Polly also discuss genetically engineered self-spreading vaccines, the new White House science advisor who wants the next pandemic vaccine ready in 100 days, and former British prime minister Tony Blair’s push to segregate the vaccinated and unvaccinated.

Here are a few of this week’s highlights:
The UK approved the Pfizer COVID vaccine for children 12 to 15 years old, saying it’s safe and the benefits outweigh the risks. “That’s simply not true, they are lying,” said Mary. “They did not do rigorous studies or good lab practices.”
More than 6 million kids in the U.S. between the ages of 12 and 17 have had at least one dose of the COVID vaccine. New York City is launching “pop up” vaccine centers at schools to vaccinate students.
Joe Biden declared June a “national month of action” to push Americans to get vaccinated by July 4. “There’s a lot of resistance,” said Mary. “Despite all of the incentives, it’s harder and harder for them to get people vaccinated.”
A recent study found seven teenage boys were hospitalized for heart inflammation after getting the second Pfizer vaccine.
Israeli health officials say the Pfizer vaccine is “probably” linked to inflammation in young men 16 to 30 years old.
There have been 5,165 deaths and 294,801 adverse events following COVID vaccines, according to the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. “They have other data,” said Mary. “They probably know far more than we do about the actual nature of the harm that’s going on.”
Houston is awarding $5,000 college scholarships to students under 18 who get the COVID vaccine.
Students from overseas may need to get “revaccinated” with a COVID vaccine that’s approved by the World Health Organization in order to attend college in the U.S. Milloni Doshi, a student from India who is supposed to attend Columbia University this fall said, “I am just concerned about taking two different vaccines.” Polly said, “That’s just dangerous.”
Children’s Health Defense is preparing a legal challenge against Rutgers University’s student-only COVID vaccine mandate for on-campus learning this fall 2021, and is seeking Rutgers students who oppose the mandate to become potential plaintiffs. “We do intend to sue them. We believe there’s a basis to sue,” said Mary. “From our perspective, you cannot mandate an Emergency Use Authorization vaccine. The law on that is very clear.”
AstraZeneca is negotiating with the U.S. government to shift production of its COVID vaccine from a troubled plant near Baltimore to a factory owned by pharma company Catalent.
The EU is pushing a digital wallet that doubles as a vaccine passport. The “digital COVID certificate” stores medical information including COVID vaccine status for citizens in 27 countries. It can also log driver’s licenses, professional qualifications and financial details.
Stay tuned for the July release of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. ‘s, new book, “The Real Tony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health.” The book will illustrate how Fauci and Gates, asserting biosecurity rationales, worked together to finance and promote the very gain-of-function experiments in Wuhan that may have released the COVID-19 pathogen.

The Covid-19 Pandemic and the Corruption of Genuine Science

For half a century, the pharmaceutical industry has shown near zero tolerance towards criticism against its unequivocal failures and medical catastrophes. Permanent disabilities and deaths due to unsafe drugs, such as Merck’s anti-inflammatory drug Vioxx, Pizer’s Bextra, synthetic hormone replacement therapy, thalidomide, and the earlier cellular pertussis and the 1976 influenza vaccines, are regarded as the collateral damage of getting unsafe medical products on the market. During the past two decades a tightly-knit and collaborative relationship has evolved between the pharmaceutical industry, federal health agencies, Congress, Silicon Valley, and the new culture of billionaire philanthropists such as Bill Gates. Due to the large web of funders favoring corporate financial interests and CDC-sponsored educational programs, the mainstream media is now the successful advertiser for pharmaceutical ambitions. As a consequence, modern medicine’s dire risks to public health are undermined. The broader picture and the darker players operating behind the tragic legacy of medical iatrogenic failures remain largely hidden from the public. In recent years those physicians, researchers and health advocates who dissent from the pharmaceutical narrative often face a formidable blowback resulting in censorship and destroyed reputations.

Over forty years ago, sociologist and philosopher Ivan Illich prophetically observed a conspicuous unfolding of modern medicine becoming divorced from itself and the ethical basis for treating illnesses. He wrote, “the medical establishment has become a major threat to health.” Illich was among the first poignant critics of the corporatization of medicine to address the problems of “medicalization,” the process by which very human non-medical conditions are redefined as medical diseases and then diagnosed and pharmaceutically treated as such. This has been a result of hardened scientific materialism’s ascendency as the final judge over national healthcare. Increasingly researchers, more often than not funded by private drug companies and backed by an army of lobbyists, are discovering ways to reevaluate health conditions with only flimsy clinical evidence into the actual etiology of disease — even infectious pandemics. Psychiatric practice, which today relies almost exclusively on a drug-based model, is the greatest serial offender. Yet systemic corruption throughout our national healthcare has been a boon for drug makers who can then develop novel medications for illnesses that could otherwise be treated by less expensive and safer drugless therapies “Modern medicine is a negation of health,” Illich wrote in his acclaimed book Medical Nemesis: The Expropriation of Health. “It isn’t organized to serve human health, but only itself, as an institution. It makes more people sick than it heals.” It is a system that today depends upon volumes of flawed medical clinical trials, financial incentives, institutional bureaucracy, revolving doors between government and private industry, rampant conflicts of interests, and an aggressive propaganda machine that has had enormous success in marginalizing and ridiculing critics both within and outside the medical complex. Our medical edifice has violated every defining principle of scientific inquiry that should place uncompromising value on objective, unbiased inquiry and open conversation and debate over conflicting views. To invoke the precautionary principle is a personal confession of heresy. Over the years, the steady rise in the number of class action and criminal lawsuits against pharmaceutical firms, Freedom of Information Act submissions, and false testimonies by federal health officials before Congressional subcommittees have confirmed Illich’s warnings….
