THE ROLE OF THE PUBLIC INTELLECTUAL:
SANTA CRUZ FREE UNIVERSITY FALL 2014
CLASS #5: 'The Esoteric Realms of Reality' - Nov 17, 2014
Background and Motivation for "The Role of the Public Intellectual": Constrained by their State Boards of Regents, State Colleges & Universities of Western Culture impose requirements upon their Professors that compel them to promote beliefs that support both the objectives and ideologies of the Nation State of which they are a part of. Private Colleges of Western Culture are similarly constrained by their Private Boards of Overseers to promote beliefs that support the private financial interests of contributors who personally finance those private Institutions. In Western Culture, these beliefs include: the primacy of the economic system of State Capitalism; the ideologies of Caucasian Racial Superiority and Female Inferiority; the belief in Scientific Logical Positivism and Materialism (these beliefs are often masked as the development of a superior capacity to function intellectually in order to achieve long range goals rather than functioning emotionally to indulge short term personal satisfactions); and the indoctrination of their students in the dual doctrines of Nationalism and The Legitimization of the Resort to the Use of Military Violence to Achieve the Selfish Economic Goals The Elite of their Nation State.
Just as Political Public Office-Holders in State and Federal Governments feel "constrained" from speaking the truth that they have learned in their positions until after they have"retired from public office, College & University Professors inside State and Private Colleges & Universities oft-times feel constrained from sharing with their students their true conclusions about the academic subjects that they have spent a lifetime teaching until after they have achieved Emeritus status - at which time it is often too late to reach a student audience.
It is the goal of SANTA CRUZ COLLEGE to bring these truths to College & University students while they are still in the midst of their undergraduate and graduate school learning experience. This Course, "REALITY 101": The Secret Science - The Relationship Between Consciousness and Political Action, brings you crusading Harvard Constitutional Litigation Expert and U.C. Santa Cruz Visiting Lecturer Daniel Sheehan outside of the constraints of the public courtroom and of the State University classroom, to share with you, as active and aggressively-seeking students, the truths that he has not been allowed to share with his audiences in America's courtrooms or in College & University classrooms pertaining to the secret relationship between "Consciousness" and "Political Action" in Western Civilization.

1-2:30 China Galland, "The Power of the Dark Feminine" Part 1 of 2
'Discovering the Energy of Fierce Compassion'
'A Spiritual Pilgrimage into the Rich, Fertile Soil of the Divine Feminine'
'For centuries a hidden current has run through the world's wisdom traditions - a dark, positive feminine energy represented by such striking symbolic figures as the Tibetan Buddhist Tara, the Black Madonna of Catholicism, and the Hindu Kali. On 'The Power of the Dark Feminine,' award winning author and researcher China Galland escorts you on a spiritual pilgrimage in search of these inspiring mythic figures. From Indian to South America, to medieval Europe you will encounter the world's most powerful manifestations of 'fierce compassion,' the feminine force that emerges when we harness our anger and transform it into spiritual awareness - and learn ways to awaken this power within ourselves. Enriched with authentic meditations and many true stories of women who are changing the world today through compassionate action, 'The Power of the Dark Feminine' is a quest across the globe and into the rich, fertile soil of a lost spiritual tradition.'
China Galland is the award-winning author of 'The Bond Between Women,' 'Longing for Darkness,' 'Women of the Wilderness' and 'Love Cemetery.' She has worked as a wilderness guide and is a university lecturer and scholar of comparative religion. She is currently (1999) a research associate at the Graduate Theological Union's Center for Women and Religion in Berkeley and is the founder and director of the Images of Divinity Research Project.
China was given the Courage of Conscience Award from the Peace Abbey, in Sherborn, MA. and from the Chaplaincy Institute in Berkeley. She will become a part of an illustrious group which includes the Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers, Mother Teresa, Maya Angelou, the Dalai Lama, Dr. Paul Farmer, Julia Butterfly Hill, and many others. China is receiving this award in recognition of her years of writing, leadership, and activism on behalf of justice, reconciliation, and peace. The award is being given to her at this time because of the Abbey's and the Institute's belief that her visionary work on truth and reconciliation has never been needed more than now.

"The Invisible Rainbow" -
Being enshrouded in the 5G network and its consequences
Arthur Firstenberg is an American scientist, author and activist who has been on the forefront warning about the environmental and health effects of electricity and electromagnetic frequencies for 35 years and more recently 5G technology. He was among the early pioneering voices to warn about the risks of electronically admitted EMFs during the start of the internet and wireless revolution. In 1997 Arthur founded the Cellular Phone Task Force, which serves as a clearing house of scientific data about the health risks of radio frequency radiation from cellular phones, base stations and wireless facilities. More recently he has been the administrator of the 5G Space Appeal to call world attention to the international scientific community's warnings about the assault on our biosphere from the 10s of 1000s of planned satellites to bring 5G to the planet. Arthur graduated Phi Beta Kappa in mathematics from Cornell University, he attended the University of California School of Medicine at Irvine for four years before suffering injuries from excessive X-ray overdose. Arthur is the author of several books, the most recent being "The Invisible Rainbow: A History of Electricity and Life." His websites are CellPhoneTaskForce.org and 5gSpaceAppeal.org

WEDNESDAY NIGHT, MARCH 11
12-1 Dave Emory, "For the Record #1104 Fascism, 2019 World Tour, Part 14: Lithium Coup in Bolivia, Part 1"
This and following programs highlight features of an apparent coup d'etat in Bolivia, emphasizing the individuals and institutions figuring in the coup itself, as well as the underlying dynamic of the development of Bolivia's enormous lithium reserves. Central to the discussion is the fact that lithium is essential for the development of electric car batteries and that technology is important to any successful "Greening" of the global economy.
Fascists from Latin America and Europe networked with transnational corporate elements and some U.S. intelligence cut-outs to oust Evo Morales and his government.
Although Morales had violated constitutional norms on term limits in order to extend his governance, his political agenda had greatly benefited Bolivia's poor and its historically oppressed indigenous population, in particular. The country's mineral wealth has been exploited by foreign companies and select members of the Bolivian elite to the detriment of much of the population. Even the conservative "Financial Times" has noted that Morales restructuring of the Bolivian economy-mineral extraction, in particular-has significantly improved the country's economy and reduced poverty.
This element of discussion involves many subjects covered at length over the decades and featured in the archives: ...
Of particular significance for the discussion to follow is " . . . . China's dominance in the global lithium supply chain and its strong ties with La Paz. . . ."
Shortly after the ouster of Morales, Tesla announced that Tesla would locate a new car and electric battery factory near Berlin. If the ACI lithium development project in Bolivia is resuscitated, the Tesla move will give the firm access to the Bolivian lithium.
Might that have been the reason for the rise in Tesla's stock? Might there have been some insider trading?
The programs conclude with review of the rebirth of Cambridge Analytica as a synthesis with British "psy-op" development firm SCL. A key director of Emerdata-the new firm-is a Hong Kong financier and business partner of Blackwater chief Erik Prince, the brother of Trump Secretary of Education Betsy de Vos. Noting the firm formerly known as Blackwater's deep involvement in the world of covert operations and former Cambridge Analytica lynchpin Steve Bannon's pivotal role in the anti-China movement, it is not unreasonable to ask if Emerdata may be involved in the Hong Kong turmoil.
We also review China's leadership in the development of Green technologies.

1-1:30 Stop the Extradition of Julian Assange
With Human Rights Lawyer Jennifer Robinson and author and public intellectual Tariq Ali On February 24, 2020, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange's extradition hearing opened in a London court.
The US government had said he is guilty of hacking into and publishing US military databases. The Trump administration raised the stakes significantly. They want to put him on trial under the espionage act, threatening Assange with 175 years in prison.
Jennifer Robinson is a member of Julian Assange's legal team. She spoke on February 4, 2020, at a public rally for Assange at the Royal National Hotel in London.
Tariq Ali is a well know British author, film-maker, historian, political activist and editor who came to support Julian Assange.
This rally and prior events have been recorded by acTVism Munich, a non-profit & independent online media portal. They are also engaged with the Pardon Edward Snowden campaign.

1:30-2 Protecting the Rights of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange
After four days of intense deliberations between Wiki Leaks founder Julian Assange's legal team and attorneys representing the United States government at the end of February 2020 the British judge suspended the extradition hearings until mid-May.
The Trump administration decided to charge Julian Assange under the Espionage Act for his role in publishing classified documents exposing U.S. war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan. He could be sentenced to up to 175 years in prison.
In contrast the Obama administration had decided not to charge under the Espionage Act in order to protect media such as the New York Times who published the very same materials that Assange had made public.
Assange has been held in London's high security Belmarsh prison since April 2019, when he was removed from the Ecuadorian embassy by British police. Assange was a resident of the embassy for seven years after entering it in June 2012 to claim diplomatic asylum. He was wanted by Swedish authorities for questioning over sexual offenses. Charges that now appear to have been fabricated
In this program by TUC radio we look at the media response from Going Underground to Democracy Now, with the reports from UN Special Rapporteur on Torture Nils Melzer, Sevim Dagdelen, a member of the German Bundestag and Assange's attorney, Jennifer Robinson.
Thanks to Democracy Now and RT's Going Underground for their coverage of a case of extraordinary miscarriage of Justice and their courage to break through the silence of the mainstream media.

1-2 Lance Allred: "The New Alpha Male"
Tuesday, March 3, 2020
Lance Allred is a former NBA player (who was the first legally deaf player in the league), public speaker, and author. With Sounds True, he has published The New Alpha Male: How to Win the Game When the Rules Are Changing. In this episode of Insights at the Edge, Tami Simon speaks with Lance about the experiences he had in professional sports that led him to reevaluate what it means to be a man in contemporary society. Lance explains how his upbringing in a rural, polygamous commune informed his original ideas about masculinity, highlighting the subconscious assumptions about money and power that affect American men's self-worth. Tami and Lance also discuss the roles of emotional vulnerability and surrender in the lives of modern men. Finally, they talk about the principle of perseverance and the increasingly urgent need for all cultures to reexamine their assumptions and core values.
